Excuses van de Nederlandse overheid bleven zoals verwacht weer uit gisteren tijdens de Nationale Herdenking Nederlands Slavernijverleden in het Oosterpark in Amsterdam, maar het evenement liet desalniettemin toch wel de indruk achter dat in Nederland het bewustzijn over het belang van het slavernijverleden aan het groeien is.
