Africa and Technology
The Netherlands Association of African Studies (NVAS) organizes its NVAS Africa Day to provide a platform for the presentation and discussion of research on technologies that are present in Africa or are aimed at improving life in Africa.

Speed dating current research
Expert researchers present their current research by means of two questions or statements. You can attend four sessions.
Some themes: Farmers and technology, frugal innovation, medical anthropology, game developers, mobile phones, etc.
Exhibitions
Companies will present their innovative products: frugal thermometer, rope making, affordable housing, stone crushing machine, solar cooking, lighting solutions etc.
Date: Saturday 17 October, 9.30-17.15
Venue: UNESCO-IHE, Westvest 7, Delft, a 2-minute walk from Delft CS
Cost: € 25,- (students and NVAS members: € 15,-), coffee/tea, lunch and drinks included
