It is NOT our responsibility

Jennifer Tosch, can I just say that your speech gave me chills!
It is sad that the revolution shall not be televised because your words are worth to be remembered.

Every now and then I get questions from white brothers and sisters, asking me what they can do?

You broke it down. Therefore I'd like to share a part of your message:

'Dear white people!
Do you hear me?

Your first responsibility is to understand it that

is NOT our responsibility to end racism!
It is NOT our responsibility
WE didn’t create it
It is YOUR responsibility to dismantle the structure of power
If we believe in equal justice than we must dismantle inequality in our own society
Do you hear me?!

You must ask the question:

What does it mean to be white?

It embodies:
POWER
PRIVILEGE and
TERROR
To so many black and brown people around the world!

Come to terms with that
Are you uncomfortable yet?
Get comfortable being uncomfortable
Because we have work to do!

For my black brothers and sisters
Do you hear me?

Your job is equally as important
You must HEAL YOURSELVES!
[..]'

Thank you sister, for your words and your strength

One Love
