Het museum toont kleurrijk werk van de Amerikaanse fotograaf Jamel Shabazz. De straatfotografie in New York City markeert de jaren &#8217;80. Bij de expositie wordt ook het nieuwe fotoboek &#8216;City Metro&#8217; van Shabazz gelanceerd. Gastcurator is de Duitse galeriehouder Bene Taschen.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"NL\" xml:lang=\"NL\">Jamel Shabazz geniet internationale bekendheid als documentaire-, straat-, mode- en portretfotograaf. Hij fotografeert het bruisende straatleven in New York al sinds 1980. Naast muzikanten heeft hij het alledaagse leven op straat en in de metro geportretteerd. In het monumentale museum zijn vijftig foto\u2019s te zien. De tentoonstelling richt zich op zijn fotografie uit de jaren &#8217;80. Bezoekers kunnen op platenspelers zelf bijpassende muziek draaien.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"NL\" xml:lang=\"NL\"><\/p>\n<p>            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" class=\"media-element file-volledige-breedte\" src=\"\/sites\/default\/files\/afbeeldingen\/jamel_shabazz_-_the_righteous_brothers_nyc_1981.jpg\" height=\"537\" width=\"764\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"NL\" xml:lang=\"NL\">Jamel Shabazz (New York, 1960) groeide op in Brooklyn en is al 45 jaar actief als fotograaf.
