Black Uhuru betekent letterlijk <strong>Zwarte Vrijheid<\/strong> in het Swahili en was de eerste reggae-act die een <strong>Grammy<\/strong> won.<\/p>\n<p>Zoals een reggaeband betaamt, heeft Black Uhuru sinds de oprichting vele bezettingswisselingen ondergaan. De succesvolste samenstelling was die uit begin jaren tachtig met <strong>Derrick \u2018Duckie\u2019 Simpson<\/strong> en ook <strong>Michael Rose<\/strong>. Black Uhuru bracht een hele rits aan klassieke albums uit waaronder \u2018<strong>Sinsemilia<\/strong>, <strong>Red<\/strong>, <strong>Chill Out<\/strong> en <strong>Anthem<\/strong>.
