Waar 2015 niet het jaar werd waarin zwarte acteurs Oscars wonnen, in 2016 maken de movies het helemaal goed.<\/p>\n

Een goed voorbeeld daarvan? De romantische drama “Southside With You\u201d over Barack en Michelle Obama\u00a0aan het begin van hun relatie. De film draait rond hun eerste date in 1989.<\/p>\n

“The Best First Date Ever” wordt het genoemd.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Tika Sumpter speelt Michelle; Parker Sawyers, bekend van “Zero Dark Thirty” (2012) en “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit” (2014), speelt Barack. De regisseur was Richard Tanne. John Legend is \u00e9\u00e9n van de producers; hij zingt ook de title song, \u201cStart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Miramax telde zo\u2019n US$2 miljoen neer voor de film die eerder dit jaar bij het Sundance Film Festival in premi\u00e8re ging. De film moet in augustus in theaters verschijnen.<\/p>\n
